365 Cards: Toile & Art Glitter

Today's 365 Cards challenge is to use Toile as the background of your card.  And...since it's the final day of the Art Glitter week, I made sure to add a little sparkle to my card.  When I first saw my challenge for today, I was wondering how to do the toile.  I certainly don't have a toile stamp or patterned paper!  I didn't think printing it out from online would work too well (or at least I couldn't think of a good way to do it).  Then...I remembered I had some toile fabric in my stash.  From there, I came up with this...

 

I wrapped the fabric around a thin piece of chipboard (aka cardboard!).  I then wrapped the ribbon around the bottom and attached it to my card front.  The frame is what I really got excited about...I cut out the frame from some basic black cardstock.  When I layed that on top of my toile fabric, it just looked too plain.  The paper just didn't look right with the fabric.  So...I used versamark and inked up the entire frame then poured clear embossing powder over the entire thing.  After heat embossing it, it turned into this textured, shiny piece!  It almost appears like a leather frame! From there, I just added some glitter to the petals of my flower and used a decorative brad and button for my flower center.  And that was it!
